If I were Minister of the NHS, I would sort it out all at once. I’m sick of the moaning. People complaining: “I called an ambulance and it took half an hour for it to get there!” Yeah, because you live half an hour from the hospital! If you want them to be there quicker, move nearer, okay? “Casulaty is such a horrible place to be!” It is, yeah, ‘cause something horrible has happened to you. What’d you expect? Disneyland!?
Als ik Minister van Gezondheidszorg zou zijn, dan wist ik het wel. Het zou gauw uit zijn met al dat geklaag. Mensen die zeuren: “Ik belde een ambulance en het duurde een half uur eer die er was!” Ja, omdat je een half uur van het ziekenhuis woont! Als je er sneller wil zijn, ga dan dichter wonen. “In de spoed is het zo akelig…” Ja, omdat je net iets akeligs is overkomen, oké? Wat had je dan verwacht – Disneyland!?
